Optimize Calling in Your Virtual Office With *9

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Regardless of the location of your office, you still need focused time to spend on your revenue-generating activities. If too much time is taken up fielding spam or telemarketing calls, your efficiency rates plummet and the bottom line may suffer. Phone.com (News - Alert) works to make sure the virtual office especially is ready for uninterrupted productivity.

In a recent Phone.com blog, the company focuses on a feature that has been around for a while, yet many still don’t know to use. Star Nine (*9) is a great feature to help clean up your virtual office activities. This feature offers significant benefits if you are plagued with spam calls or telemarketers that interrupt your workflow.

This great Call Blocking feature works for any incoming call that has an exposed caller ID setting. When a call comes in and you realize you have answered yet another annoying spam phone call simply push *9 on your touchtone phone to ensure that particular number won’t be calling you again. This feature is the easiest and most efficient way to take control of your virtual office, by ridding it of unwanted calls.

If you accidentally block a number that is actually a legitimate call, Phone.com offers a simple back out option. Maybe your car insurance company calls you and you mistake it for a telemarketer. When this happens, simply push *9 again to unblock the number and you’ll continue to receive those important calls in your virtual office.

What if you can’t decide whether or not it is a number to block when the call first comes in? Simply go to the control panel on your Phone.com-supported handset to the Select Settings menu and you will find a Call Blocking feature.

This menu feature will also work if you decide at a later time that you wish to unblock a call from your list. Simply click on the number that has been blocked and click on the trash can; it’s really that easy. Controlling your virtual office is simple through Phone.com as you make sure those unwanted calls stay away.

Phone.com offers a 24-hour, seven day a week customer support line to help customers with any problems or questions. You can also find out more about them and the services they offer for your Virtual office on Facebook (News - Alert) or Twitter. Anyone who “like” them on Facebook will have the opportunity to follow them and find out about more on the features available from Phone.com, as well as new innovations.
