Virtual Office: Caller ID Routing
If you use your personal cell phone for business and pleasure, getting a call when you’re vacationing, for example, could put a damper on your fun in the sun. Or on the other end of the spectrum, you may own many devices in order to keep you and your business, employees and clients connected. However, now-a-days, with a virtual office from Phone.com (News - Alert) integrated within your network managing calls is a walk in the park.
With Phone.com’s Virtual Office, no matter how many devices you own, you can have one general number for your clients to call.
“We are so pleased to introduce a service that will give you the ability to publish only ONE phone number, either a new one or one of your own numbers that you can port to Phone.com and then you decide which of your devices will ring, when they will ring, and also where you will direct the messages,” said Ari Rabban (News - Alert), CEO of Phone.com.
One beneficial feature, besides virtual office’s call forwarding and voicemail transcription, among others, is Phone.com’s virtual office caller ID routing.
Update your caller ID function by having calls routed based on who is calling. By imputing in your virtual office address book clients, family members or even employees, when they call they will be directed to the telephone number that best suits them.
For instance, once you’ve set-up your virtual office, when potential clients call they can be routed to your phone menu where you have already set-up a greeting or infomercial. When present clients dial-in to your Phone.com virtual office number, because they are listed as a client in your virtual office address book, they are routed to your office business line and if you cannot answer, to your business voicemail.

Mike Kolodziej, president and founder of The Dent Doc said Phone.com’s virtual office caller ID routing function, “ displays the 9:00AM to 6:00PM hours of operation option to send calls to my cell-phone, or to my contractors, to their cell phone, 9 am to 6 pm. After 6 pm I send all calls to my Phone.com voicemail box.”
“Phone.com, in a very real sense, is my back-end corporate office,” he continues, “it processes and organizes all my calls, which is the basis of all my revenue in the auto dent repair business, during business hours, and after.”
With caller ID routing, you have the option to route incoming calls received stored in your Phone.com Virtual Office Address Book to a specific destination such as your cell phone, a custom recording, a menu, or what ever you prefer! You can even route individual contacts or whole groups!
Caller ID routing is just another way that with Phone.com’s virtual office, running your business is just that much easier. To learn more about this exiting product visit Phone.com’s Website or check out their channel, Virtual Office, on TMCnet.
