Consumers Have Overwhelming Response to Phone.com's Mobile Apps That Create Virtual Office
It’s been just a couple of months since Phone (News - Alert).com made available two mobile apps that make the Phone.com Virtual Office service accessible from iPhones and Android devices –and there’s been an overwhelming consumer response. In June, Phone.com Mobile Office, the first app to extend office phone capabilities for Android (News - Alert)-powered phones, let subscribers make and receive calls, send and receive text messages from their Phone.com number using their Android phone. “The response has really been great,” Ari Rabban (News - Alert), CEO of Phone.com, said this week. “We have thousands of downloads and an increase of over 30 percent to our virtual number service. When customers sign up from the Android Marketplace on their phone they can get immediately use (the) Phone.com virtual number for calls.” The free use is for Android not iPhone (News - Alert) – and means that if they are not already a Phone.com customer and download the app they can test it free for a month without the need to sign up from their PCs with a credit card. Every customer gets the first month free but it usually requires a credit card. Rabban explained during a recent video interview with TMCnet CEO Rich Tehrani (News - Alert) that, “Everyone is on the go at some point.” “You can now call out of your cell phone, from an app that we call Phone.com ‘Mobile Office,’ that will really extend all your capabilities from your office phone onto your cell phone,” he added. “One cell phone really becomes two separate phone lines. You have your cell phone number and SMS services.” You can get a second, third and fourth number, etc., for business needs. In addition, the subscriber’s Phone.com (News - Alert) number appears as the Caller ID, keeping the mobile number private. Phone.com is a cloud based phone company offering a variety of innovative, economical phone services designed for entrepreneurs, home offices, small businesses and individuals. Powered by advanced VoIP and SaaS (News - Alert) technologies, the company currently offers the following communications products: Phone.com Virtual Office for small businesses, Phone.com Virtual Number for individuals on the go, Phone.com Home Phone Plus for consumers along with Phone.com Mobile Office and Phone.com Mobile VoIP.
